We're on the lookout for an exceptional Power BI talent to join our highly engaged Category team in Auckland.

As our Category Analytics Specialist, you'll play a key role in bringing data to life — improving access, usability, and insight generation for our Demand Associates across Snacking, Pet, and Food segments.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the way in improving scan/shopper data access and usability across all business segments.
  • Own and enhance the Mars NZ Power BI reporting hub – you'll be our go-to Power BI and Power Query expert.
  • Create and maintain a range of self-serve dashboards, empowering teams to access insights independently.
  • Act as the technical owner for Perfect Store reporting, analysis, and development.
  • Support BI localisation projects and drive consistency across reporting frameworks.

What you'll bring

  • A passion for data visualisation and storytelling through Power BI – you're the person people turn to for smarter insights.
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Excel and a knack for turning complex data into clear, actionable reports.
  • Background in data analytics, category management, or insights, ideally within an FMCG or retail environment.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Statistics, Finance, Marketing) is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills – you can translate data into business impact and influence decisions.
