We're looking for a Part-Time Retail Sales Consultant to join our friendly team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has an interest in tools or mechanical equipment, and takes pride in providing great service. This is a part time role with available working hours between Friday to Monday  with more hours available when further coverage is needed. *

About the Role

This is a part-time retail position, working hours between Friday to Monday. You'll be part of a small, supportive team where your contribution makes a real difference.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing professional, friendly service to customers in-store, over the phone, and via email
  • Using our computer-based systems to process sales and manage stock accurately
  • Maintaining showroom standards, unpacking and assembling products for display
  • Assisting customers with advice and recommendations on outdoor power equipment

Hours:

  • Friday & Monday: approx. 8 hours each
  • Saturday: 9am – 4pm
  • Sunday: 10am – 4pm

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking the following types of candidates:

  • Students: Ideally in your first or second year of university (we're not seeking high school students)
  • Semi-retired applicants: Someone with past experience in outdoor power equipment, landscaping, or mechanical trades would be a great fit who enjoy staying active and engaged
  • Ideally suited for individuals looking for part time with flexible working hours

You'll also bring:

  • Reliability and strong organisational skills
  • Confidence using computer systems for sales transactions
  • A friendly, approachable manner and willingness to help others
  • A positive attitude and ability to work independently
  • Working rights in NZ with no restrictions
