Event Production Assistant

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Event Production Assistant with at least 2 years of experience in event management to assist in delivering NZCreatorcon in Auckland and CreateAU in Melbourne. This role will support the event's full lifecycle, including preparation, sponsorship coordination, team building, and on-the-day event execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the event management team to plan and execute all event components.
  • Schedule and coordinate sponsorship meetings; assist in building compelling sponsorship decks and proposals.
  • Help recruit and build a competent event production team, including production staff and volunteers.
  • Manage logistics such as venue setup, vendor coordination, and equipment testing on event days.
  • Support marketing and communication efforts related to the event.
  • Ensure smooth operations throughout the event day, including managing timelines and team coordination.
  • Assist with post-event wrap-up, including feedback collection and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant event coordination or production experience.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience liaising with sponsors and building sponsorship materials.
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain adaptable on event days.
  • Demonstrated team leadership or team-building capability.
  • Familiarity with live event production and supplier/vendor management preferred.
