We have an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Programme Manager to join our Cyber & Governance domain which sits in the Technology business unit.

Our function is responsible for establishing & operating the enterprise cyber security strategy, capabilities, and controls to protect BNZ (including customers, employees, and shareholders) from information security risks.

We sat down with our Head of Cyber Security Service, and they let us know the following about the role.

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?

  • Work with the Cyber Security Leadership Team to develop a Business Case for funding the annual Cyber Security Uplift programme of work.

  • Manage the delivery of the Cyber Programme Outcomes and Benefits including:

  • Monitor delivery to plan and driving additional actions, managing by exception.

  • monthly reporting to the Cyber Programme Delivery Committee and to the Strategy Execution Review committee.

  • Work with the embedded Risk manager to manage 'project risks and issues' related to delivery of Outcomes and Benefits.

  • Manage 'delivery risks' related to Change Management that will impact integration of change into the business.

What technical skills / skills are REQUIRED for this role?

  • 5+ years in project management and 3+years in programme and/or portfolio management, preferably in a bank or financial institution.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement working across Technology Domains.​

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams within BNZ Cyber and teams across BNZ Technology.

  • Experience managing change in agile or fast-paced environments.

  • An adaptable/flexible approach to delivering solutions to complex problems and clearing roadblocks for product management focused agile delivery teams.

What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?

A desire to learn new skills, takes initiative and ownership of outcomes. Great at collaborating to achieve outcomes.
