Duty Manager – PAK'nSAVE Masterton

At PAK'nSAVE Masterton, we're committed to delivering a consistently fresh and appealing shopping experience for our customers. We're looking for a Duty Manager who can step up and ensure the store runs efficiently in the absence of Department Managers and other members of the management team.

About the Role

As a Duty Manager, you'll be responsible for:

  • Maintaining store appearance, security, service, and productivity.
  • Monitoring staff performance and customer flow.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety, HACCP, and store policies.
  • Closing the store securely and managing end-of-day procedures.
  • Handling customer and staff issues professionally and promptly.
  • Acting as Shift Manager on some nights, leading the floor team to deliver excellent service and operational standards.
  • Operating a forklift when required to support store operations.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and communicate clearly.
  • A customer-first mindset with a passion for service.
  • Physically fit and computer literate.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to manage conflict fairly.

Experience

  • 2+ years' supermarket experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
