About the role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Driver in Christchurch. As a Driver, you will be responsible for operating our specialized vehicles and transporting goods safely and efficiently to their designated locations. Full training and support will be provided to ensure your success in this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company vehicles, following all traffic laws and regulations
  • Load and unload goods onto vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing
  • Plan and prioritize delivery routes for maximum efficiency
  • Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records
  • Maintain regular communication with dispatch and report any issues or delays
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles

Requirements:

  • Valid driver license (Full Class 1 or higher)
  • Excellent driving record and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
  • Physically fit and able to safely handle heavy loads
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate good time management skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Positive, professional attitude and a commitment to safe driving
  • Keen to learn and progress with training
