• Location: AUCKLAND

• Job type: Full-time Permanent

• Number of positions for this job: up to 5

• Pay rate: from $28-$32 per hour

• Days required: 5-6 days/week

• Hours per week: min 30, max 50 hours per week

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Operating and maneuvering excavators and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.

• Excavating and digging trenches, ditches, foundations, and other structures according to project plans and specifications.

• Loading and unloading materials, such as earth, rocks, debris, and equipment, using the excavator.

• Performing routine maintenance on the excavator, including lubricating parts, checking fluid levels, and inspecting for damages or malfunctions.

• Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations while operating the equipment and working on-site.

• Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and other personnel to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth project operations.

• Following blueprints, maps, and instructions to accurately complete excavation tasks.

• Monitoring and adjusting the operation of the excavator to maintain productivity and efficiency.

Job Requirement

• At least three-years relevant prior experience or substitute with a formal qualification

• A "can-do" attitude

• Have an eye on details

• Self-motivated

• Clean non-criminal record
