We're looking for a motivated, Labourer/Trade Assistant to join our Special Project - Wind Division. This fixed-term role runs from early January 2026 through to September 2026, and you'll be right at the heart of the action. Reporting to the Site Manager, you'll help bring a wind farm to life with supporting construction, operations, and maintenance, mostly working outdoors around the turbines.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. From assisting tradespeople and operating tools, to spotting for machinery, moving materials, and keeping the site running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist trades and technicians with site-based work
  • Perform manual labour tasks including lifting, carrying, digging, assembling and water blasting
  • Operate tools and equipment safely (powered and non-powered)
  • Support traffic management and spotting for moving vehicles
  • Keep work areas clean, safe, and organised
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Packing and devanning containers
  • Represent SCC professionally on site at all times

What we're looking for

  • Previous construction, civil, carpentry, hammer hand, or general labouring experience (preferred)
  • Physically fit and capable of manual work, including climbing ladders up to 30m
  • Working at heights experience or qualification (preferred)
  • Full Drivers License
  • Clear pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
  • Team player who is reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
