The role in a nutshell:

  • You will engage directly with clients to analyse their existing systems and processes, and identify areas where your software can add value and drive efficiency
  • You will document business processes and prepare clear requirements for the development team, and then work closely with developers to customise and implement your software solutions
  • You will become the in-house expert on the accounting and finance platforms, and provide ongoing training, support and guidance to clients after implementation

To be successful, you will need:

  • You either have a tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or related discipline, or have worked in the industry to such extend that you have a solid grasp of double-entry accounting principles
  • You have experience in business process analysis and/or systems implementation, ideally ERP or accounting/financial systems
  • You have an analytical mindset with an eye for efficiency and process improvement
  • You are curious, ready to take on initiatives and have a willingness to learn.
  • Unfortunately, my client isn't an accredited employer, so you must have all valid work rights for NZ and already be in Christchurch to be considered for the position.

My client is a technology business that provides tech support to small to medium businesses around the country, and that create and market specialised accounting and financial software designed to empower businesses in 2 key industries: Freight & Transport, helping operators streamline financial management, costing and operations; and Finance & Lending, providing robust tools for managing loans, compliance, and client portfolios.

Passionate about developing intelligent, industry-specific solutions that make a real difference for their client, they need a new team member to be at the intersection of technology, business process and client experience. The purpose of the role is to ensure that clients have a smooth and successful experience with their suite of software, from onboarding and implementation through to training, optimisation, and ongoing support. This is a client-facing, hands-on role that blends business analysis, implementation consulting, and customer success.
