If you're ready to step into a pivotal role within a fast-growing and innovative manufacturing business—one that genuinely values continuous improvement—this is your opportunity. You'll take full ownership of the warehouse function, lead and develop a team, and put your ideas into action as the company continues its scale-up journey.
About the Company
You will be joining the team at The Pure Food Co, mission led, purpose driven company that lives to their values of 'we care', 'we innovate' and 'we deliver'.
The Pure Food Co supplies the healthcare and aged care sector across New Zealand, Australia, and France, nourishing seniors by creating a variety of fortified foods that are full of fresh flavours and enriched with natural nutrition. Their mission is to create food that helps people thrive and have experienced phenomenal success to date. Based in Otahuhu, the warehouse and production site are the heart of the operation - and they need a capable Warehouse Manager to grow with them.
About the Role
Your role as Warehouse Manager will see you take responsibility for the day-to-day flow of goods, lead the warehouse team, and lead the business into the future as production continues to scale. With strong foundations in place, the growth trajectory of The Pure Food Co means that this role requires commercial and strategic thinking to drive continuous improvement, while also being hands-on at the operational level; you know your team, you understand how goods flow, and you drive improvement of the systems that enable efficiency.
You'll report to the Head of Operations, lead a team of 4–5 initially (growing to ~10 as production scales, and be highly connected across the business, working closely with Procurement, Production, Quality & Compliance, and Finance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all raw material receiving: compliance checks, receipting, put-away and accurate record-keeping.
- Leading daily staging of several tonnes of raw materials for production.
- Ensuring accurate stock management, cycle counts and stocktakes (including use of internal stocktaking app).
- Embedding and extending improvements already in motion - new processes, smarter use of space, better kit and systems.
- Working within the ERP system and supporting the team to embed better digital discipline.
- Building a warehouse function that can support future scale, including potential shift-based operations.
While you may enjoy getting in to help them team during busy times, this is a leadership, systems and optimisation role at the heart of operations.
About you
YYou are currently leading a team or ready for your next move. You are ambitious and enjoy the challenge of taking on management responsibilities. You thrive in environments where growth, change and continuous improvement are expectations - not disruptions.
You'll enjoy this role if you:
- Are driven, proactive and keen to take ownership of a high-growth manufacturing environment.
- Have a genuine continuous improvement mindset - always asking how things can be smarter, safer, faster or more accurate.
- Are ambitious and excited by a company that will triple its output and mature its operational footprint.
- Thrive on cross-functional problem solving and enjoy working with procurement, quality, production and finance.
- Want to influence how a warehouse should run - not just follow what's been done before.
Experience and skills you bring:
- 3+ years leading people in a warehousing, inwards goods, distribution or raw-material environment.
- Experience in developing and delivering continuous improvement initiatives to deliver improved performance and/or capacity uplifts
- Experience in medium-scale environments with meaningful volume.
- ERP experience (Cin7 is ideal, but any ERP is perfect).
- Understanding of compliance standards, record-keeping and traceability.
- Experience in manufacturing, food or non-food production environments where accuracy and timing matter.
- Proven ability to use space well, coordinate flows, and implement new processes or equipment.
- A track record of working in (or being excited by) a growth company where operational ambition is high.
We are looking for someone who has shown that they are always evolving, innovating and building.
Why this role?
This is a chance to shape, modernise and lead a warehouse function during a period of meaningful growth. You'll join a founder-led organisation with a strong mission, a supportive leadership team, and a team that's already embraced new ways of working. With substantial growth, there will be career opportunities.
You'll get cross-functional exposure, genuine ownership, and the opportunity to influence the operational backbone of a scaling manufacturing business; a role where improvement, growth and impact truly matter.
If this sounds like your role for 2026 and beyond - apply now, and start the conversation.
