About the Role

Our dedicated, agile and supportive team are looking for a registered hand therapist to help our service deliver optimum care to the Tairāwhiti community.

You will be providing hand therapy assessments and treatments to the people of Tairāwhiti. This includes ACC and Ministry of Health funded presentations. We have a good working relationship with the associated consultants and access to wider multidisciplinary teams to both grow this service and consolidate your clinical practice. Our physiotherapy department has a vision of providing excellence in this role and strives to continue developing this service with strong clinical reasoning and professional development. We have a patient and whānau focused approach and acknowledge the complexities of care in a rural based region with diverse cultural needs.

About the Team/Service/ Location

You will be joining our team as an outpatient hand therapist. This is an opportunity to add your skills to an established physiotherapy outpatient service, enjoy our diverse patient population and the wonderful area we live in. There is an opportunity to grow and develop your clinical experience in a hospital based setting with supervision and support.

About you

In order to be successful in this role you will need to

• Hold current registration with the New Zealand Physiotherapy or Occupational therapy board
• Be a Registered Hand Therapist
• Have the ability to manage your time effectively
• Have good communication skills
• Have the ability to respond to need as it arises
• Be able to ask for support as you need it
