Warehouse and Delivery Assistant

Role DescriptionThis is a casual, on-site, and off-site role for a Warehouse and Delivery professional located in Auckland. The role involves tasks such as packing orders, unloading deliveries, client deliveries (delivering medical furniture), and operating warehouse equipment. Approx hours a week, from the start of December until Xmas, then Mid January -> end of February to provide cover for a team member undergoing surgery. Some multi day / overnight deliveries may occur. Then the role has the potential to become permanent with approx 15-25 hours a week, specifically providing assistance in the warehouse Thursdays/Fridays 10-3pm, and then 5-10 hours over Monday-Wednesday for deliveries and other assistance. It would be ideal that you are Auckland based, and even better if you are on the shore.QualificationsTo be honest, if you are willing, capable, reliable and have some common sense, then we are open to looking at anyone, even if you don't come preloaded with the belowProficiency in warehouse logisticsExperience in Packing and Unloading goods safely and efficientlyKnowledge of Inventory Control processes and practicesAbility to operate warehouse equipment, including a Pallet Jack, walk behind forklift or willing to learnAttention to detailPhysical ability to lift and move heavy items, as requiredIf you are handy repairing things, even betterFamiliarity with workplace safety protocols and standardsPrevious experience in a warehouse or delivery role is a plusWS MedicalIs an importer and distributor of medical equipment and furniture, based in Hillside Road, Wairau Valley on Auckland's North Shore.
