EQUIP Recruitment is seeking a reliable and friendly Class 2 Driver to support a valued client over the holiday period.

This short-term assignment runs 11 December to 9 January (Monday–Friday only), with public holidays and weekends off.

You'll be based in Newtown, driving a truck to various sites across the Wellington Region, including the Hutt Valley, Porirua and as far as Paraparaumu.

This role combines driving, light setup/pack down and interacting with the public - perfect for someone who enjoys variety and being out in the community.

Shift start times range between 6:00am and 11:15am, with finish times between 3:00pm and 8:00pm, depending on venue schedules.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Driving a Class 2 truck to scheduled sites around the region.
  • Setting up and packing down equipment at each venue.
  • Supporting the team and interacting with the public in a friendly, helpful way.
  • Bonus: someone willing to pitch in where needed - even making the odd cup of tea - is always appreciated

What We're Looking For

  • A valid Class 2 licence.
  • Confident, safe driving skills across Wellington roads.
  • Great people skills and a positive attitude.
  • Physically fit and able to assist with setup/pack down tasks.
  • Reliable, safety-focused and a strong team player.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and hold a clean criminal history.
