We operate a modern embroidery production facility and are expanding our team. We use Barudan and Tajima 12-head embroidery machines, and we require someone who can also perform embroidery digitising (converting artwork to embroidery files).

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented 12-head embroidery machine operator with digitising skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for running, maintaining, and troubleshooting Barudan and Tajima 12-head embroidery machines, preparing and converting artwork into embroidery-ready files, and ensuring high-quality output to meet production targets and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain 12-head Barudan and Tajima embroidery machines.
  • Load and unload garments or materials, monitor machine operation, ensure thread changes, hooping, trim, etc.
  • Monitor machine speed, tension, thread break, alignment, etc., and make real-time adjustments for quality.
  • Pre-check and prepare embroidery files for production, including converting customer artwork into embroidery ready
  • Optimize stitch counts, density, underlay, pull compensation, and test run where necessary.
  • Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs (e.g. needle changes, thread path issues, tension fixes).
  • Perform quality checks on finished work (stitch consistency, registration, color accuracy, defect detection).
  • Maintain machine cleaning, upkeep, and preventive maintenance logs.
  • Work with production planning to meet daily/weekly production targets, scheduling, and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance, design, and customer service teams to ensure client requirements are met.
  • Maintain safety, housekeeping, and operational standards in the production area.
  • Document and report production outputs, downtime, defects, and machine performance.
  • Assist in training junior operators or assistants, as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience operating multi-head (ideally 12-head) embroidery machines (Barudan, Tajima preferred).
  • Strong embroidery digitising skills, able to convert artwork into embroidery-ready files with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Experience with embroidery software tools (e.g. Wilcom, Pulse, Tajima DG, or similar).
  • Good understanding of stitches, thread types, fabrics, underlay, pull compensation, trim, etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, adjust, and repair minor mechanical or thread path issues quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills (file management, basic image editing).
  • Physical ability to stand, lift, move garments/trims as needed.
  • Good communication skills in English (oral and written).
  • Work ethic, reliability, punctuality, and ability to work in a team environment.
