We operate laboratories nationwide and offer a comprehensive range of human pathology testing. About the role | Mō te tūranga:

Lead the Core Laboratory, which processes biochemistry, immunology, and haematology samples, by working closely with section leaders and a dedicated team to ensure high-quality services and foster an open, collaborative, and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach and mentor team members to support their growth and development by providing technical advice, training, and education.
  • Organise and prioritise workflow efficiently to meet both the company's and clients' requirements effectively

About you | He kōrero mōu

To be successful in this role you need to have:

  • Registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with a specialisation in Biochemistry or Haematology.
  • Ideally a minimum of 7 years of experience as a registered scientist preferably in automated core laboratory.
  • At least 3 years supervisory and/or staff management experience.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise and a thorough understanding of laboratory protocols, practices and accreditation requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration and rapport with team members and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work Monday to Friday from 8 am to 7 pm, with potential after-hour support as required.
