Mō te tūranga | About the Role
- Initiative Owner of the Digi 2.0 initiative within the Digital Programme
- Responsible for completing discovery and moving ahead with delivery of the next generation Westpac NZ Banking application and underlying technology stack (aka App & Stack 2.0)
- Multi year initiative
- Management of $6-10m budget annually
- Looking for experience / exposure to the following:
- Leading large scale banking and platform migration activity - in particular digital enablement layers and customer facing systems/applications.
- Exec level stakeholder management.
- Management of 3rd party and key supplier agreements
- Waterfall and Agile experience and ability to facilitate the delivery of squad based engineering work.

Essential skills
• Strong understanding of Project Management lifecycle and experience applying to practical situations
• Demonstrated ability to identify complex risks, lead project reviews and develop risk mitigation strategies
• Good understanding of Agile methodology and ability to breakdown scope in to epics, stories and and prioritise effectively.
• Leading complex business and technical change projects in a corporate environment.
• Strong internal and external stakeholder management and communication skills
• High level view of regulatory and enterprise wide change internally and within the financial services industry.
Desirable skills
• Current Project Management and Agile certification
• 7 + years post qualification experience within IT/Financial or related field managing complex projects
• Relevant business, functional
