Mr Apple based out of Hawkes' Bay, part of publicly listed Scales Corporation, is recognised both internationally and locally for its excellence as New Zealand's largest vertically integrated grower, packer, and exporter of premium apples.  With multiple sites across Hawke's Bay, people truly sit at the heart of this business. 

Reporting to the Head of People and Culture who sits in the executive team, you will quickly become the go‑to person for ER matters, helping to build and maintain effective working relationships across the business.  This true partnership role will see you walk alongside leaders who value and seek your input.  Your focus will centre on reducing risk and safeguarding the business, while embedding sound, best‑practice processes that support both compliance and positive outcomes.  The remit is wide‑ranging, covering everything from guiding managers through complex ER issues and resolving workplace matters, to ensuring alignment with employment legislation through policies and advice, and the delivery of proactive coaching and training.  To thrive here, you will bring confidence and approachability, combining technical ER knowledge with a diplomatic, practical and people‑centered style that builds trust and delivers results.

You'll bring proven ER experience in complex environments, ideally within large or multi-site organisations. You will enjoy guiding people through a range of employment situations and will be known for your ability to execute at pace.  A tertiary qualification in employment law will be highly regarded.  You will bring adaptability, confidence, and the ability to work independently across multiple divisions, while also embracing a partnership approach with the wider people and culture team.  Joining this capable crew will further develop your career and broaden your commercial exposure.
