Receptionist | Oranga Whānau
Location: Te Rua Taiko | Full-time, Monday - Friday

We are seeking a capable and professional Receptionist to join our team. This role is the first point of contact for our organisation and plays a vital part in ensuring a welcoming, well-organised, and efficient environment for our manuhiri and kaimahi.

The ideal candidate will bring a mature, proactive approach to their work, with strong administrative experience and a genuine commitment to kaupapa Māori values.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm and professional reception service to all visitors and callers
  • Manage front-of-house operations and general administrative duties
  • Support client services and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with internal communications and social media engagement
  • Provide basic financial and IT support
  • Act as Health and Safety Officer for the site
  • Coordinate office maintenance and supplies

Skills and Experience

  • Social services administration experience is a must
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • A commitment to upholding tikanga Māori and working in a kaupapa Māori environment
