About us

Woodlands Dog Retreat is a unique off-lead, free-run environment for dogs, operating Monday to Friday on a secure, fenced private farm in Waitakere. We focus on maintaining calm self-control among our dog packs, avoiding high-intensity play to ensure respectful interactions between dogs and handlers. This approach enhances their confidence and social skills. Our facility includes a spacious indoor covered area for shelter during inclement weather, agility training, and specialized instruction. Mature fruit trees provide shade in warmer months, and two pools offer dogs a refreshing place to cool off and enjoy some splash time. Our mission is to ensure that every dog in our care receives the highest level of attention, care, and love.
