As New Zealand's largest major multi-venue performing arts centre. We are a part of Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, New Zealand's largest producer of cultural, entertainment, sporting and wildlife experiences, whose work touches the lives of all Aucklanders and visitors to the region.

As custodian to some of the most iconic venues in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland including The Civic, Aotea Centre, Auckland Town Hall, Bruce Mason Centre, Queens Wharf, and Aotea Square, Auckland Live is the home of performing arts and entertainment in Auckland. We present the best of national and international performing arts and entertainment, as well as a range of community-focused programmes that contribute to Auckland being a culturally vibrant city for all. Our work is presented and hosted both within our venues, in public realm spaces and across the city centre.

As a Creative Producer at Auckland Live, you'll be at the heart of bringing innovative and exciting performing arts experiences to life in Tāmaki Makaurau. You'll work closely with artists, companies, and internal teams to develop and present projects that align with Auckland Live's strategic priorities, while championing cultural diversity and creative collaboration.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Scoping, researching, and budgeting creative projects for development and presentation, including assessing viability and commercial arrangements.
  • Developing creative briefs, high-level costings, and advocacy materials for marketing, communications, and wider business application.
  • Planning and delivery of events and programmes through a detailed event end to end process.
  • Coordinating marketing, audience development, and publicity requirements of projects and events.
  • Managing contracts, budgets, and financial reporting
  • Providing manaakitanga and building strong relationships with artists, partners, and stakeholders

You're an experienced arts Producer with strong project management skills who is passionate about turning ideas into reality and is a positive team player. You excel at juggling multiple tasks, fostering relationships, and navigating complex projects with a solutions-focused mindset. Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;

  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand's creative and performing arts sector
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing contracts, budgets, and event logistics
  • Positive, solutions-focused attitude with excellent time management and critical thinking skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
