We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1–2 Truck Driver to carry out local deliveries, water tanker operations, and long-haul live seafood transport. Location: 14 Brigham Creek Road, Whenuapai, Auckland

Job Type: Full Time Permanent

Number of positions for this job: 2

Pay rate: $25-$30/hour based on the experience

Days required: 5-6 days/week

Hours per week: Minimum 30, Maximum 60 hours per week

Job Description:

New Zealand Live Fish Market Limited is seeking skilled and reliable Class 1–2 Truck Drivers to carry out local deliveries, water tanker operations, and long-haul live seafood transport. This role involves the safe operation of company vehicles, handling and delivery of products (including seafood where applicable), maintaining accurate records, and ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety (H&S).

Key Responsibilities

  • Package, wrap, and label products (including seafood where applicable) in accordance with delivery, food safety, and company standards.
  • Record accurate delivery information including quantities, weights, times, and dates.
  • Assist with loading and unloading goods onto and from delivery vehicles as required.
  • Carry out local deliveries, water tanker operations, and long-haul transport of products efficiently as scheduled.
  • Provide excellent customer service during all deliveries, representing the company positively.
  • Pick up purchases or return loads and transport them back to base as required.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (oil, fuel, water levels, tyres) and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, fueled, and ready for operation at all times.
  • Ensure all sales, delivery, and transport documentation is completed accurately and returned to the office daily.
  • Keep driver logbooks accurate, current, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Comply with all traffic laws, company policies, and transport regulations.
  • Follow all Health & Safety (H&S) procedures and policies at all times.

  • At least two-years relevant prior experience or substitute with a formal qualification

  • Good communication and customer service skills.
