Our Purpose
At Xero, we're here to help supercharge small businesses. We do this by automating routine tasks, surfacing actionable insights and connecting businesses with the right data, advisors and apps. When that happens, we're not only making life better for small business, we'll be building a stronger economy that can change the world.
How you'll make an impact:
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to be a pivotal player in our core financial planning and analysis (FP&A) team. This isn't just a reporting role; you'll be part of the small, high-impact team that drives our budget and forecasting processes.
Your primary focus will be on model integrity. We need a finance professional who is passionate about financial modeling—building, maintaining, and refining the models that help us understand our business and make critical decisions. Your expertise will be key to generating meaningful, actionable insights for leadership.
What You'll Do:
- Financial Modeling:
You will own the creation and maintenance of robust financial models to assess scenarios, risks, and opportunities that support strategic decision-making. A key part of your role is refining our existing models with a continuous improvement mindset. - Actionable Insights:
Go beyond the numbers to deliver data-backed insights to leadership, working across the full P&L to drive faster, better decisions. - Reporting & Analysis:
Produce timely, clear, and accurate reporting on business performance, communicating your findings and recommending responses. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Build strong, cross-functional relationships to demonstrate the value of finance partnership across the organization. - Systems Support:
Contribute to our financial systems transformation, including our migration from Adaptive to Anaplan.
What you'll bring
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a finance or FP&A role.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Excellent financial modeling and forecasting skills—this is the core of the role.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
- The ability to take data and create a story that resonates with audiences and drives action.
- Anaplan experience is a big plus
Why Xero?
Offering very generous paid leave to use however you'd like (plus statutory holidays), dedicated paid leave to care for your physical and mental wellbeing as well as an Employee Assistance Program to access mental health care for you and your family, free medical insurance, wellbeing and sports programmes, employee resource groups, 26 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers, an Employee Share Plan, beautiful offices, flexible working, career development, and many other benefits that reflect our human value, you'll do the best work of your life at Xero.
