Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

As a Facilities Officer, you'll play a key role in maintaining a safe and functional environment across our diverse operations. This hands-on position involves responding promptly to service requests, performing minor repairs and maintenance, and coordinating with internal teams and external providers. You'll work across a 24/7 rotating roster, balancing reactive tasks with proactive maintenance to keep our facilities in top condition.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Attending to guest and business unit requests promptly.
  • Performing minor electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and general handyman tasks.
  • Monitoring communication devices and recording events in the daily logbook.
  • Liaising with internal departments and external contractors to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Supporting the Maintenance Supervisor and assisting with scheduled maintenance activities.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Over 20 years of age with a strong customer service focus.
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Skilled in using hand tools and power tools, with a willingness to upskill.
  • Physically capable of manual handling and comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
  • A great communicator with attention to detail and a positive attitude.
  • Well-groomed and safety-conscious, with basic computer skills.

Preferred experience:

  • Previous building or technical work.
  • Familiarity with mobile lifters, access equipment, ladders, and scaffolding.

A Certificate of Approval (COA) is required for this role.
