About the Role

This permanent part-time position offers the opportunity to join our amazing and committed Breast Care Team achieving positive clinical outcomes for our communities. This position is based at Tauranga and provides care to breast service patients at both Tauranga and Whakatane Hospitals. From time-to-time travel to Whakatane Hospital to support service provision is expected.

We are looking for a registered nurse with proven expertise and an education in breast care nursing. The Specialty Clinical Nurse works in a delegated role within the team to provide evidenced based management of the patients within surgical, non-surgical treatments, and Faster Cancer Treatment pathways. About the Team/Service/Location

The Breast Care team at Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is collaborative and committed to providing safe, efficient, and compassionate care. Speciality Clinical Nurses report to the Clinical Nurse Specialist lead, and work alongside a multidisciplinary group to manage a wide range of Breast conditions, ensuring patients receive timely, and effective treatment.

About You

The successful applicant will be an experienced, adaptable Registered Nurse with a passion for Breast care. Strong communication, organisational skills, and a calm demeanour under pressure is essential. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while maintaining safe and effective clinical practice, will be key to success in this role. The ability to compassionately support patients, whānau, and staff, while building strong relationships is essential.

  • Current NCNZ registration and Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient-centred care
  • Experience in breast care nursing, with strengths in critical thinking, planning and navigating alongside patients
  • Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a team environment to meet service goals
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • A positive, professional approach with a sense of humour and resilience
