We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to work in the Bottle Store in the Otago region.

This is a full-time role for 35 hours perweek or more, with Remuneration based on Skills and experience in the range of $25 per hour to $ 30 per hour. The role is to control and manage/organize all aspects of the store's operations, so the ability towork autonomously is a must.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Stock and inventory control, liaising with external and internal parties.
  • Selecting and ordering products and monitoring the industry to keep our product lines new.
  • Ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations and managing promotions andadvertisements, amongst other things.
  • Checking stock levels, Merchandising, and stock movement
  • Accepting Inward deliveries and outward stock movement to customers.
  • Able to move stock, and physically fit.
  • Must have excellent communication skills& be able to provide excellent customerservice
  • Should be ready to work as a team member and collaborate.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Great people skills
  • An understanding of visual merchandising and store presentation
  • Must be flexible to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
  • Leadership experience in a Retail/Sales environment

Eligibility / Requirement

  • Minimum 6 months of work experience in Retail Environment
  • Must have LCQ qualification / General Manager Certificate preferred for Liquor sales.
