We are currently looking for a fit and experienced Class 4 Driver to join our growing team. Using your skills and experience you will be joining the team for the Council contract for collection of refuse, recycling and food waste in the Central West Auckland area. This 12 year contract will cover approximately 80,000 households. The role will include operating a side load vehicle five days a week and may include an extra weekend day when there is a public holiday. Flexibility in start and finish time may be required. We offer our driver team a prestart continental breakfast to help kick start their day.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  • The collection of refuse, recycling and food waste as required, while complying with council contracts
  • Operating in a safe working environment
  • Operating vehicles in a safe and efficient manner while adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Accurately completing all required documentation
  • Keeping your truck and unit clean

Our ideal candidate would have the following:

  • Class 4 drivers licence with at least 2 years relevant driving experience
  • Proven relevant experience in a similar environment/role
  • Relevant transport industry knowledge and experience
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Strong relationship builder and team player
