Fabricating aluminium joinery
We have two vacant positions and are seeking an experienced Aluminium Joiner to join our team in our Tokoroa and Rotorua branches. These are permanent full-time roles.
What we're looking for:
Ideally someone with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in aluminium joinery or a similar fabrication role
Dependable, honest, and reliable
Well organised with excellent time management skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills
Building / manufacturing skills
Ability to read and interpret plans, measurements, and construction drawings
Take pride in your work
Have an eye for detail
The role involves:
Fabricating aluminium windows, doors, and joinery systems to specification
Cutting, assembling, glazing, and sealing aluminium frames
Interpreting technical drawings, plans, and measurements
Operating workshop machinery and powered hand tools including drills, saws, and punches appropriately and competently
Working collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient workflow and quality output
What we're offering:
Competitive hourly rate (depending on experience)

Minimum 40 hours guaranteed per week

About us:
Gateway Glass & Aluminium Ltd was established in 1996 and has a long and secure history in the Central North Island. Our roots are founded in the manufacture and installation of aluminium joinery supported by the supply and installation of glass related products such as the reglazing of broken windows, splashbacks, auto glass, and windscreens. We are supported by four branches: Tokoroa, Thames, Whitianga, and Rotorua.
We work closely with BCITO and if the successful applicant is interested in pursuing qualifications, we encourage this. We have a proven success formula with a history of two apprentices taking out Apprentice of the Year and another taking out runner-up.
