We are looking to add to our Casual Security guards' team.

This is a Casual role with the primary focus on providing a security presence at events in Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre venues.

Event Security - key responsibilities:

  • Patrolling the venue.
  • Monitoring attendees.
  • Ensuring that event rules are followed.
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety procedures are followed.
  • Liaising with the Event Host to achieve the above.
  • Secure all exits, doors and windows after events and set alarms as required.
  • Prevent damage and loss to Arts Centre property.
  • Flexibility and availability to work at short notice is essential.

You must have:

  • Hold a current Certificate of Approval (CoA) from the Private Security Personnel Licensing Authority.
  • Have experience as a security guard.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Reliable and honest.
  • Self-motivated; ability to work without supervision.
  • Hold a current first aid certificate.
  • Be sufficiently fit and healthy to carry out requirements of the role.
  • Be available for work on evenings, nights and weekends.
