The opportunity

We are looking for a Water Serviceperson to join our team It's an important job maintaining our most precious assets - water, health, and the environment - and here's your chance to be involved.

Our water teams play a critical role in ensuring a continual supply of quality water with minimal interruptions to communities. No two days will be the same as you head out across the Wellington region undertaking a mix of planned and reactive works where you'll:

  • Install and repair water connections on all sizes of mains
  • Work on jobs of all shapes and sizes
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with trade practice
  • Flush and charge water mains
  • Work together with various teams and contractors to achieve results

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in the water industry, with the ability to use hand tools, small plant and machinery
  • A reliable, hard-working, and can-do attitude
  • The ability to use technology (i.e., iPad or tablet) to record information
  • An understanding and commitment to health and safety in the workplace
  • A full, clean driver's NZ class 1 Licence is a must & class 2, WTR is an added benefit
  • Enjoy working outdoors and can complete manual labour tasks
