Carpenter apprentice

Shotover Construction is seeking a first- third year apprentice to join our team in Queenstown, Otago. Minimum three years experience in carpentry. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in the construction of high-quality residential projects.

What you'll be doing

• Carry out general building duties including framing, cladding, landscaping and finishing work
• Assist other tradesmen with various tasks on site
• Operate hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
• Follow site safety procedures and ensure a tidy, organised work area
• Collaborate with the wider construction team to deliver projects to a high standard

What we're looking for

• Previous 3 experience as a Builder or Hammer Hand, preferably in the residential construction industry
• Strong practical skills and the ability to read and interpret building plans
• Good attention to detail and a focus on quality workmanship
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A valid driver's licence and your own reliable transport
• A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to safety
