Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for crafting winning proposals? Do you thrive in high-stakes environments where collaboration, precision, and innovation are key? We're looking for a Bid Manager to cover a fixed-term period (12m) to lead and elevate our end-to-end bid process, and we want someone who's ready to make an impact

Ngā mahi o ia rā – Daily tasks:

  • Lead the development and submission of high-quality, compelling bids and proposals across enterprise and government sectors supporting New Zealand's largest organisations.
  • Project managing the end-to-end bid process; from qualification through to submission. Manage timelines, compliance, and governance to ensure every submission is on point and on time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, legal, finance, subject matter experts, and delivery to align on strategy and execution.
  • Maintain and continuously improve bid processes, templates, and win strategies to drive efficiency and success rates.
  • Facilitate bid strategy workshops to assess and improve our client relationships and understand their needs and competitive positioning to develop clear and differentiated value propositions.
  • Champion the bid function across Spark's Enterprise and Government division.

  • Experience working closely with B2B Sales and Commercial Teams.
  • Proven experience managing complex bids across the entire lifecycle, ideally in B2B, enterprise, technology, or government sectors.
  • Exceptional project management, writing, and communication skills.
  • An ability to build teams, strategic ideas and create plans to deliver high quality outcomes.
  • A sharp eye for detail and a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to ask open questions to create innovative ideas that furthers the success of our sales teams.
  • Practical knowledge of common procurement processes by government and private entities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines with confidence.
