Te āhua o Te Tūrunga - Nature of the position
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our Finance team. This vital role ensures ENZ's financial operations run efficiently, accurately, and in line with government compliance requirements.
You'llbe responsible for a wide range of financial tasks including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, expense processing, and maintaining financial systems. You will also support internal teams through training, system support, and the delivery of timely and accurate financial information.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in finance, a commitment to excellence, and a collaborative approach to their work.
Ngā tino Pūkenga/Wheako - Essential skills/experiences
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience in managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, expense management, and reconciliations.
Confidence working with financial systems (e.g. Business Central, TechOne, Navision), including the ability to support and train others in their use.
A sound understanding of financial compliance, month-end processes, and audit requirements, ideally within the public sector.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and communicate financial processes clearly.
A high level of accuracy and consistency in financial reporting and documentation.
