CareVets Te Atatu is seeking an experienced Senior Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and growing team. This full-time role is perfect for a confident nurse ready to take on a senior position with a strong surgical focus and mentoring responsibilities.

About the ClinicLocated in the thriving suburb of Te Atatu Peninsula, CareVets Te Atatu is a well-established clinic with a loyal client base and a welcoming, community-focused feel.

We are well equipped with modern technology including capnography, anaesthetic multiparameter monitoring, dental radiography, and an in-house laboratory.

Our team includes two full-time vets, one part-time vet, two full-time nurses, two part-time nurses, and of course our beloved clinic cat — Cheezel.

About the RoleAs a Senior Veterinary Nurse, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the clinic, supporting both patients and team members.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring

· Nurse consults and client education

· Reception and client support as needed

· Mentoring and supporting junior nurses and students

· Contributing to a high standard of patient and client care

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) with 1 in 3 Saturdays. Flexible roster options are available.

About YouYou're an experienced veterinary nurse who enjoys a busy, varied role and is keen to take on more responsibility.

You'll bring:

· Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a veterinary nurse

· Strong interest in a surgical-focused role

· Calm, adaptable approach in a changing environment

· Willingness to mentor and support junior team members

· Excellent teamwork and communication skills
