We are seeking a minimum 2-3 years PQE  solicitor to join our Property and Commercial team in our Auckland office.

On a day to day you will be responsible for

  • Working closely with a Partner based in our Auckland CBD on Property, Commercial and General Practice areas of law ranging from conveyancing to commercial property sales and acquisitions, subdivision and development.
  • Preparing legal documents and participating in private client work and engagement.
  • Maintaining relationships both externally and internally including with clients, government agencies, banks, agencies other lawyers and fellow staff members
  • Work towards key performance and budgets around billable hours.

While not compulsory, ideally you would have some experience in general practice areas of law and able to support the Partner with drafting of wills, enduring powers of attorney and basic trust and estate planning documents.

This role would suit a junior to intermediate solicitor looking for the next step to pursue his/her/their legal career in Property and Commercial law being mentored and coached by experienced and respected practitioners in a CBD based firm of fine and long standing reputation as one of the best in the Auckland and Waikato region.

The person we are seeking will have an eye for detail, be well organised, motivated and take pride of his/her/their work, take initiatives and enjoy being involved and working as part of a close-knit team.

The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure and having excellent communication and time management skills will serve you well in this role.
