ShedIt is a New Zealand–owned commercial and rural shed design-and-build company, specialising in bespoke building solutions for agricultural, lifestyle, industrial, and commercial clients. Operating across New Zealand (primarily the North Island), ShedIt delivers smarter, better-finished timber and steel buildings that sit a step above standard kitset options.
We're now looking for a Sales Manager to drive growth and manage customers nationwide.
The role
Together with our small team, you'll be the key link between our customers and our build teams – turning ideas into practical, priced and consent-ready shed solutions. You'll grow shed sales across lifestyle, rural, industrial and commercial markets, working closely with clients to understand their needs, scope projects and prepare quotes.
Using AI-supported drawing tools and structured pricing templates, you'll design and price jobs accurately, then manage customers through the full process from first enquiry to completed build. Based on site in Te Awamutu, we're a small team where everyone pitches in—so this is a role for someone who enjoys being in a small team environment. In this role you will also be liaising with local councils for planning and consents and setting clear expectations with clients and contractors throughout the build.
Some regular travel within the North Island may be required.
About you
You'll be a confident, people-focused operator who communicates clearly, works well with others, builds trust quickly and brings strong customer management and commercial thinking. You're comfortable with numbers, pricing, and the admin detail that comes with consents and paperwork, and you can juggle multiple jobs while keeping everything on track. A good sense of humour, the ability to think outside the box, and confidence setting clear expectations with clients and contractors will see you thrive in this role.
A background in building or construction is preferred but not essential.
