Mō te tūranga | About the role

  • Provide executive support to the Director and senior leadership team (SLT).
  • Manage complex diary scheduling and meeting coordination.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Support governance-related activities and communication.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage directorate documentation.
  • Prioritise objectives to meet organisational needs.

  • Experienced in executive support and office coordination.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach.

Mō ngā pūkenga | Qualifications and experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in executive support roles.
  • Skilled in diary management and governance support.
  • Experience in local government or the public sector is desirable, but not essential.

  • Work closely with the Customer and Corporate Services Director and SLT.
  • The directorate comprises of Communications and Marketing, Finance, IT, Customer Experience, and Business Services.
  • Be a key connector across a collaborative and high-performing directorate
