The team at New Zealand Couriers are looking for a positive, enthusiastic person to join our fleet on a fixed term agreement within the Auckland region while we manage a seasonal increase in freight volumes.

This is a FIXED TERM position and is not a permanent position. This fixed term is for approximately 6 weeks with work available until Wednesday, 24 December 2025.

This position is challenging, it requires you to be at our Penrose depot every morning rain or shine at 6.30am - If this doesn't sound like you then please do not apply.

  • Immediate Start available to the right candidate.
  • Full training provided
  • Mon-Fri 6.30am - 6.00pm (55 Hours per week),
  • No Weekend work required
  • Pay Rate: $27.50 per hour + 8% Holiday pay (Paid weekly)

You must have transportation to / from Penrose for this role where you will start and finish your day.

Duties include:

  • Driving an automatic transmission Toyota Hiace van.
  • Picking up and delivering freight in the Central Auckland region
  • Assisting with urgent deliveries and depot duties if/where required.

The ideal applicant will:

  • be able to confidently drive a automatic transmission van.
  • Have a full, clean driver licence.
  • Have confident communication skills.
  • Have geographic knowledge of the Central Auckland region/suburbs.
  • Have previous freight experience (not essential).
  • Be able to manage a diverse range of duties.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Be physically fit - Some heavy & repetitive lifting required (up to 25kg).
  • No prior injuries.
  • Reliable, Punctual and Honest.
