Auckland Airport is currently seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the position of Commercial Manager. This strategic role is essential for driving our commercial initiatives and maximizing revenue opportunities across the airport's diverse portfolio. As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective commercial strategies that align with our business goals and enhance the airport's commercial performance. Your expertise will involve overseeing leasing and partnership agreements, managing key relationships with tenants and service providers, and identifying new business opportunities that contribute to our airport's growth. The successful candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, analytical capabilities, and a deep understanding of commercial operations within the aviation or retail sectors. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that our commercial strategies are executed efficiently while optimizing customer experience. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage relationships with tenants, service providers, and other key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
  • Lead negotiations for leases and commercial agreements, ensuring favorable terms for Auckland Airport.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote and support commercial activities and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on commercial performance against targets, providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Support business planning processes by contributing commercial insights and analysis.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a commercial management role, preferably within the aviation, retail, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of commercial negotiation, contract management, and revenue optimization.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data and market research.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and budgeting processes.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
  • Relevant qualifications in business, finance, or a related field are preferred.
