About the Role

The Gallery Operations Manager supports the Client Relations Manager, oversees operational functions, and manages gallery spaces and installations.

You'll be responsible for:

• Managing the gallery team and ensuring all spaces (internal and external) are immaculately presented
• Working with the various auction departments to plan and execute their auction exhibition installations.
• Overseeing maintenance across our sites including the long-term maintenance plan for our sites and assets.
• Assisting with logistics for high-value artworks and collectables, including installation, transport, and wrapping.
• Supporting auction and exhibition preparation, including staff rostering and event readiness.
• Leading health & safety and sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborating with departments on design direction and operational support for previews and live auctions.

What We're Looking For

We're after someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings:

• Experience in art hanging and object handling.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Practical and technically adept, with initiative and attention to detail.
• Physical fitness for handling large/heavy items and a full driver's licence.
• Confidence in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• A collaborative, flexible approach, and a willingness to pitch in when needed.
