We are seeking an experienced Terminal Manager to lead operations at a key petroleum terminal in Dunedin. This is a critical leadership role, responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and effective receipt, storage and dispatch of product, while overseeing a small team and engaging with a range of stakeholders.

About the role

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will lead a team ensuring terminal performance is optimised through safe, compliant and efficient practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations, work planning, projects, site maintenance, and contractor management
  • Managing ship fuel debunkering and truck hauler fuel transfer
  • Ensuring HSSE standards, permit-to-work systems, and compliance requirements are met at all times
  • Leading and developing the team operations and performance

About you

We are looking for an operational leader who is comfortable leading as well as rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in.

You will bring:

  • Proven operational experience in oil & gas, fuel, petrochemical, or heavy industry, including terminal operations and shipping experience
  • Experience with permit to work issuing
  • Strong planning, organising and risk management capability
  • Excellent relationship management skills

Personally, you will have a great attitude, have an outgoing personality, and be a natural self-starter who builds and nurtures strong working relationships.
