Sales Support Specialist

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete all sales support team tasks and commercial activities with an aim of achieving corporate business plans and regional business objectives under the guidance and the Supervisor in the region.
  • Handle customer/tender/spot rate enquiries involving cross-checks for basic information provided (volume, validity, commodity port pairs etc).
  • Rate and free time filing to be updated into ONE's systems in a timely manner.
  • Day to Day utilisation and promotion of ONE's eCommerce platforms to our clients.
  • Promote ONE Quote - online rate/booking portals to all customers. Follow up with customers on the ACCOUNT PLAN for space utilisation.
  • Updating customer records in ONE Force as necessary and collating customer reports as required.
  • Update customers of any import cargo rolling at transhipment ports.
  • Assist with the review/update of container D&D contract periods prior to invoices being sent out.
  • Assist the Customer Service Documentation Team with any SLI/rating issues that need to be resolved.
  • Assist other team members and provide backup as necessary.
  • Update of CAF for customers in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Ability to multi task and prioritise demands.
  • Good analytical skills using the available data and tools.
  • Attention to detail.
  • General competencies including leadership, interpersonal skills with other staff and customers.

Qualifications:

  • NCEA Level 3 or greater.
  • University Degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of commercial experience in container shipping or logistics sectors is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Experience in similar industries may be acceptable (freight forwarding, transport or logistics).

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and detail-orientated recent University Graduate eager to learn and contribute to our fast-paced logistics operations, bringing fresh perspectives and a strong aptitude for problem solving.
