Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Opportunity
The Finance Group supports Kāinga Ora to understand its strategic context and drivers and influences the organisation's key settings. It articulates the organisation's direction in line with the outcomes it is trying to achieve. The Group also provides the oversight, management and assurance functions around the organisation's finances and financial practices, forecasting and budgeting processes to support operational delivery and management of funding and financing activity.

As Project Accountant, you'll work closely with the Senior Project Accountant and delivery teams to ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and timely capitalisation of projects.

Here's what you will bring to the role:

  • At least 3 years' experience in project accounting
  • Relevant qualifications and a commitment to ongoing learning
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • A collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement
  • An interest in public sector governance and systems
  • Availability to work onsite at least 3 days per week (some travel may be required)
