ROLE SUMMARY:

ACG Strathallan is a Cambridge International School and with our senior school delivering IGCSE and A-Level courses, experience with delivering an international qualification would be an advantage but not essential. Located in Karaka, South Auckland,we are a leading, independent, coeducational school from Preschool to Year 13. Our teachers benefit from a highly resourced and modern teaching environment.

An opportunity has arisen to join the secondary faculty at ACG Strathallan for a chemistry teacher. We require additional resourcing within the science department due to growth in the subject area, and this position will commence in Term 1, 2026.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach secondary year levels, ensuring you create an engaging learning environment.
• Cater to the varied learning needs and abilities within your classes to maximise student development.
• Develop excellent working relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Ensure the effective use of technology in teaching and learning activities.
• Participate in wider school activities.
• Ensure students' welfare and safety in every moment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Have NZ Teacher registration with supporting teaching and tertiary qualifications.
• Have experience in teaching chemistry curriculum to a high standard.
• Be well-prepared and inspire confidence in students and parents.
• Be flexible, committed, professional, hard-working, and a team player.
