About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Qualified Drain Layer to join our dedicated team in Auckland. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in drain laying, with a commitment to delivering top-notch work across various residential and commercial projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a reputable company known for handling significant projects and delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair drainage systems, including stormwater and wastewater systems.
  • Read and interpret site plans and blueprints to determine the layout of drainage systems.
  • Perform excavation work safely and efficiently using hand tools and machinery.
  • Lay pipes, connect them to main lines, and ensure proper alignment and sealing.
  • Inspect and test installed systems to ensure compliance with New Zealand standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members, site supervisors, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including wearing appropriate PPE and following company policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A valid New Zealand Drain Laying certification (NZQA registered).
  • Proven experience as a Drain Layer, preferably in New Zealand.
  • Strong understanding of New Zealand drainage standards and regulations.
  • Experience with a variety of drainage materials and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site plans.
  • Competent in the use of drainage equipment and tools.
  • Full NZ driver's license.
