About the role
Reporting to the department Team Leader, you will be responsible for the safe and effective assistance to our high-speed corrugator and the team. As the Corrugator Assistant, you are expected to assist in the operation and running of the corrugator on all aspects, with a small amount of clamp driving. You will be part of a high performing team and will contribute to the operation of the Hastings Plant to achieve high quality product that can be delivered to our customers in full, on time and within specification.
- Unloading reel trucks and placing in correct rows, scanning reels (30% of the time)
- Unloading starch trucks (twice a week)
- Daily running of the starch kitchen
- Singleface Operator
- Reel core shredding
- Helping on machine when short staffed.

Skills & experience
- Experience in manufacturing production, ideally from within the packaging industry
- An excellent understanding of, and commitment to HSE requirements
- Full clean drivers license
- Forklift OSH with F Endorsement
- Must be able to drive a clamp forklift when required ( 3.5 tonne)
- Mechanically minded
- Excellent communication skills
- A self-motivated, keen and energetic personality
- A good eye for detail
- A hard-working ethic
- Able to competently use a computer
