About the role

We have one of New Zealand's leading Environment, Planning and Resource Management practices. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or junior Resource Management lawyer to join our Ōtautahi office, working with Partners Sarah Eveleigh, Alex Booker, Ben Williams and Jo Appleyard.

You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team working across a wide variety of matters, including:

  • Large-scale urban, commercial and renewable energy infrastructure developments
  • Coastal, climate and environmental litigation
  • Freshwater and nutrient management
  • Iwi engagement and strategy
  • Agribusiness and forestry projects
  • Aquaculture and marine farming
  • Green and other mineral mining
  • Regional and district planning processes

What you will bring

Successful candidates will have recently completed their Bachelor of Laws or have 1 – 3 years' post-qualification relevant experience. Applicants will need to be ambitious, have excellent academic qualifications and be able to engage confidently with clients. You will have exceptional levels of self-awareness and interpersonal skills and have a proven ability to build strong, influential relationships based on trust. You will be highly responsive, organised and able to manage a wide variety of tasks.
