Te tūranga | The role
Wheako Pōneke Experience Wellington is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate Kairuruku Whakatairanga | Marketing Coordinator to join our marketing team for a fixed-term 4-month contract, delivering quality, engaging and responsive marketing support and advice for Wheako Pōneke Experience Wellington and it's six sites.
In the role, you will provide support across the marketing team, coordinating and implementing marketing strategies across multiple platforms including social media, EDMs, event coordination, media bookings, design and list management.
Working closely with the Kaiwhakahaere Whakatairanga | Marketing Leads you will be working with strongly collaborative marketing and communications kaimahi to devise engaging multi-channel campaigns for our sites, mainly Te Whare Toi City Gallery Wellington, and supporting Te Waka Huia o Ngā Taonga Tuku Iho Wellington Museum, Cable Car Museum and Nairn St Cottage. These campaigns reflect our commitment to Te Ao Māori as well as increase brand awareness, audience engagement, revenue and ultimately visitor numbers. With exciting upcoming projects including new exhibitions and events, you'll be a strong planner, detail oriented and outcomes focussed.
In addition to this, you will foster collaborative relationships between the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications (FMC) team and the kaimahi working across our sites and workspaces to raise our brand profile in the community and promote our exhibitions and events.

• Work closely with the Kaiwhakahaere Whakatairanga | Marketing Leads to keep our websites up to date
• Update our digital presence externally
• Develop and post social media content
• Develop and dispatch EDM's to our visitor databases
• Work collaboratively with the Kaiwhakahaere Whakatairanga | Marketing Leads to deliver promotions for our exhibitions and events.
• Run digital campaigns on social media and Google Adwords
• Discuss and seek approval for digital campaigns internally
