We're looking for a Swim School Administrator to join our team based at Wanaka Recreation Centre. This role works across both administration and swim school teaching each week.
What you'll be doing / He aha te mahi
You will provide administration support to our Swim School, including assisting with the general administration, bookings, invoicing, reporting and rosters for the Swim School, coordinating all classes and the associated administration and communication with students and their families. 15 hours of your week will also include teaching.
The role will involve:
- Processing swim school registrations and class bookings
- Working alongside Crew, Supervisors and Team Leaders to achieve sales, capacity and retention targets in a systematic and timely manner.
- Maintaining positive relationships with local clubs, groups and societies, actively promoting Wanaka Swim School.
- Supervising and instructing Pool Swim School programmes and safety skills to the community
- Mentoring new staff and ensuring their readiness to teach alone
What you'll bring to the role / Ko wai to Pukeka
You will have 3-4 years of experience in an administrative and/or Customer Service role with a focus on sports. With excellent interpersonal skills you will relate well to all kinds of people and have the ability to establish and build upon working relationships.
To best succeed in this role, you'll have:
- AustSwim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety, or Swim Teacher Award (SNZ STA)
- NCEA Level 2 (minimum level of education required).
- A current NZQA affiliated First Aid Certificate A current NZQA affiliated First Aid Certificate
