We are searching for an experienced and inspirational leader to fill the role of Pitau Whakarei Māori – Group Manager Hauora Māori. This key position reports operationally to the Group Director Operations and professionally to the Regional Director Hauora Māori. As an integral member of the District Leadership team, the Pitau Whakarei Māori is responsible for offering leadership, strategic advice, and direction across hospital specialist services, ensuring our commitment to improving equity and achieving better health and wellbeing for Māori.

To excel in this role, you must deeply understand and respect kaupapa Māori, be aware of the equity issues affecting Māori, and have strong relationships within te ao Māori. Senior experience in the health sector, fluency in te reo Māori, and robust connections across the rohe are essential. We seek an inspiring and agile leader known for extensive senior leadership experience and the ability to influence and impact the health sector in reducing inequities.
