We are looking for three experienced CNC machinist, trade qualified (an advantage) to join our Lower Hutt based workshop.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components

· Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications

· Set up, program, and operate CNC equipment safely and efficiently

· Perform quality control checks and measurements to ensure products meet specifications

· Maintain accurate production records and documentation

· Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes

· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment

· Ensure compliance with health and safety standards

· Checking and co-signing off the work of other staff members

About the role

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist (5-axis and/or mill-turn experience preferred).

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Have a focus on quality and improvement.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and G-code programming. The ability to program offline in CAD/CAM software will be an advantage.
  • Able to meet production and quality targets with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A willingness to grow your skills and knowledge.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • 3+ years' experience with programming and operating CNC Mills or Lathes.
  • Trade qualified (preferred)
  • Experience with Robot automation.

Benefits

We have a modern well equipped machine shop with the latest in CNC technology and tooling, with a new 5 axis + Robot arriving in June.  Extra hours are available regularly, dependent on workload.

Wage $35-$45 per hour (subject to experience and qualification).

Minimum 40 hour per week, Monday – Friday. Additional hours are available subject to workload.

Skills and experience required

To be successful in this role you need 3+ years' proven CNC operating and proficiency in programming experience (5-axis and/or mill-turn experience preferred).
